Wiloc joins QatarEnergy NFXP Sulfur Project in Ras Laffan

QatarEnergy awarded the joint venture formed by Técnicas Reunidas and Wison Engineering the EPC contract for the NFXP Sulfur Project, valued at over $600 million, to expand the sulfur treatment, storage and loading facilities at Ras Laffan Industrial City as part of the North Field Expansion Project. In this context, Wiloc contributes a digitalization solution aimed at strengthening safety, productivity and regulatory compliance on site, through an infrastructure based on LoRaWAN, smart worker devices, advanced weather stations and a centralized IIoT platform for real-time monitoring and data analysis.

The proposal enhances on-site personnel monitoring, accelerates emergency response, reinforces access control to restricted areas and provides continuous operational information to optimize site management. The planned architecture includes, among other elements, 1,500 worker devices and weather stations, integrated into the Wiloc platform to deliver a unified view of operations and raise safety and efficiency standards in a highly demanding Oil & Gas environment.
